About Deep Root Fertilization
What is it?
Deep root fertilization is a specialized method of applying fertilizer to trees and shrubs. Instead of applying fertilizer on top of the the soil, a spike is used to inject liquid fertilizer beneath the soil surface, directly into the root zone. Injecting the fertilizer below the surface allows the nutrients to reach the roots more efficiently, promoting healthy growth and reducing nutrient loss to runoff.
How does it help?
Key benefits of deep root fertilization include:
- Improved nutrient absorption: Nutrients are delivered directly to the roots, maximizing uptake.
- Enhanced plant health: Trees and shrubs become more resistant to pests, diseases, and drought.
- Faster recovery: Plants can recover more quickly from stress or damage.
- Reduced nutrient runoff: Less fertilizer is wasted, protecting the environment.
By providing essential nutrients to the roots, deep root fertilization helps trees and shrubs reach their full potential.
Note: We only treat trees and shrubs that are below 1 story in height.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
How many treatments does deep root fertilization require?
Deep root fertilization only requires 1 treatment per year. It's performed in the fall, just before winter. That's why we're offering it for the special $129.99 right now!
-
How many trees and shrubs are covered under the $129.99 deep root fertilization special?
You are covered for up to 150 trees and shrubs on your property!
-
How many injections does each tree and shrub receive?
Depending on the size, we typically distribute about 2 to 6 injections of fertilizer around the base of each tree or shrub. Larger trees may receive 10 or more injections.
-
Where does the injection occur?
We'll inject into the ground approximately 2-3 feet away from the trunk of the tree or shrub. This is the best spot where the roots can reach the nutrients and absorb them into the plant to use.
-
How deep into the ground does deep root fertilization go?
The feeder roots of a tree or shrub will be somewhere around 3 to 4 inches below the surface, so that's where we inject the fertilizer.
-
Do you treat all sizes of trees and shrubs?
We treat trees and shrubs that are below 1 story in height.
Trees and shrubs that are taller than 1 story are already mature and established, so we do not treat them. These nutrients provided by deep root fertilization are much more beneficial for smaller and newer trees.
